About Our Staff
Our faculty and staff are proud to be a part of the growth and development of students at Cedar River Montessori. Our administration team oversees finances and executes school operations to support our staff, students, and families. Administration connects our school by sharing stories of the great work our students do with our families and the greater community. Through workshops and training coordinated by administration, our faculty, staff, and families are presented opportunities to learn about Montessori education, positive discipline, parenting, diversity/equity/inclusion, digital ethics, and many other topics. We encourage and support all faculty and staff to pursue their own professional growth through college courses, degrees, endorsements, certifications, and other trainings and workshops.

Our Qualifications
In addition to college course work, certified Montessori teachers undergo extensive training to prepare them for the task of guiding the student. This differs from a traditional teaching program in that the focus is on a more focused age group, enabling the teacher to acquire a deep understanding of the development, academic, and social needs of their students. Our teachers have all completed Montessori certification (MACTE accredited, AMS or AMI) for the age group which they teach, and several have additional certifications and training, including Orton-Gillingham reading instruction and Positive Discipline.
