How to Apply

Applications for families interested in Pre-K through grade 8 for the 2025-26 school year will open in October.

Applicants interested in enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year: Cedar River Montessori is currently accepting and reviewing applications for Elementary and Middle School programs on a rolling basis.

Our admissions process is designed to help parents learn about our school and about Montessori education to help you determine if Cedar River is a good fit for your family. Steps to Apply

1. Submit an admissions inquiry

If your child will be between 3-13 years old as of next August 31, please submit an admissions inquiry. You can submit an admission inquiry at any time of the year. Our application season, which runs from October-January annually.

2. Schedule your campus tour and admissions meeting

Parent tours are required prior to submitting your application. Tours are available by reservation only. If you are moving from out of state, or if you need to schedule a tour at an alternate time, you can request a private tour with the Director of Admissions by emailing admissions@cedarrivermontessori.org.

3. Submit your application and $75 non-refundable application fee

After completing your tour, submit your application and the $75 non-refundable application fee. The 2025-26 application is now available.

Apply here for 2025-26 school year. Please note: once started, the application is not saved until it is submitted. Allow 20-30 minutes to complete the application.

New student application forms for the upcoming academic year are due on February 7.
4. Provide Two Years of Student Report Cards (Grades 1-8)

Email student report cards from the previous two years (or beginning from the Kindergarten year for entering Grade 1 students) to admissions@cedarrivermontessori.org or provide hardcopies in person.
5. Apply for Financial Aid (optional)

Financial aid applications are due in mid-February annually. More information is available on our website.
6. Student Visits and Parent Interviews

Prospective students entering grades 1-8 will have classroom visits scheduled in February, and parent interviews are with admissions staff. Prospective students applying for Kindergarten will participate in a small group gathering led by our teachers on campus in February.

Early childhood students without previous group experience may meet briefly on campus with teachers to assess developmental readiness for our Montessori classrooms.
